Abstract
À partir des années 1980, le projet de professionnaliser l’enseignement connaît une diffusion mondiale et est fortement soutenu par de grands organismes internationaux. Parmi ces derniers, l’OCDE entame, à partir des années 2000, une reconception du professionnalisme enseignant, un projet toujours en cours. Les fondements théoriques de cette conception et la question du savoir enseignant ont peu été étudiés. L’analyse de contenu des documents de l’organisme (n=13) montre qu’il conçoit ce professionnalisme comme l’un des outils de réforme du secteur public en cohérence avec sa prise de position, au niveau de la gouvernance, en faveur de la nouvelle gestion publique.
