Abstract
Generalizing the ideas of Peres [1] , we investigate a measure for the contextuality of a two-qubit state and derive an analytic expression applicable to the most general mixed state. Further, we investigate the relationships contextuality has with quantum entanglement and quantum discord. • Measure of contextuality for two-qubit quantum systems. • Discord is based on local measurements affecting global properties of a system, while contextuality is based on the inability to describe global measurement results in terms of local measurement results. • Non-contextual states are non-Discordant.
