Christian Laval es Doctor en sociología y profesor emérito del Laboratoire Sophiapol de la Université Paris Nanterre. Fue director de programa en el Collège International de Philosophie y ha desarrollado una extensísima y prolífica carrera académica. Intelectual de reconocido prestigio e impacto en las ciencias sociales, ha aportado complejas elaboraciones y análisis críticos desde una perspectiva amplia y comprometida, integradora de planos y ámbitos, a contracorriente de los procesos actuales de fraccionamiento y estandarización de la investigación y del saber. Además, ha participado en contextos de movilización social y es un prolífico autor que aúna complejidad y capacidad comunicativa más allá de la academia. Se expone la conversación mantenida con él recientemente, agradeciendo la generosidad con la que responde y su compromiso, tanto con el conocimiento como con la resistencia y la apuesta por la transformación de la lógica capitalista, lógica que también ha reconfigurado el ámbito universitario del que formamos parte.
