Abstract
Cette revue narrative explore comment l’image du corps est mobilisée dans le voyage touristique. L’image du corps, un concept multidimensionnel influencé par le contexte socioculturel, est cruciale pour le bien-être mental et physique. Les études mettent en évidence les liens entre une mauvaise image corporelle et les attitudes et comportements alimentaires dysfonctionnels. Le tourisme offre un cadre unique pour explorer de nouvelles cultures et contribuer indirectement au développement d’une image du corps positive. La revue narrative a été menée entre septembre 2022 et septembre 2023 et a retenu 11 études à comités de pairs. Quatre thématiques émergent: le corps pour apprendre; le corps pour s’alimenter; le corps pour ressentir; et le corps pour se percevoir. Cette revue narrative souligne l’importance d’explorer l’interaction entre l’image du corps et le voyage touristique et positionne ce dernier comme une alternative holistique du voyage thérapeutique, au service du mieux-être corporel.
