Abstract
This article analyzes the dispute resolution provisions of Part IX of the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction. The article also comments on a provision in Part VI (Institutional Arrangements) of the Agreement that allows the Conference of the Parties to request an advisory opinion from the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea in some limited circumstances.
