Abstract
As ocupações urbanas para fins de moradia surgem como reações ao modelo de segregação socioespacial imposto pelo mercado imobiliário e pelas regras urbanísticas estatais. Nosso campo de estudo situa-se em duas dessas ocupações, Jardim Deus é Fiel e Alto Bonito, ambas em Araguaína, Tocantins. Sob a metodologia de pesquisa-ação, investigamos a autogestão e a autonomia das comunidades enquanto experiência do comum, alternativa ao Estado e ao mercado. Animados pela obra de Dardot e Laval e Hardt e Negri, pensamos o comum entre o político e o biopolítico. Finalizamos discutindo as ocupações como territórios e buscando relações teóricas entre o comum urbano e territorialidade.
