Abstract
Africa and Mediterranean Studies.Her main interests are contemporary oral and written Swahili literature (also for children) and translations from/into Swahili (history, theory, and practice).She is the author of numerous publications and some translations of modern Swahili literature.Rens Bod is professor of digital humanities and history of the humanities at the University of Amsterdam.He has published in (computational) linguistics, the history of the humanities, and the history of knowledge.Among his books are A New History of the Humanities (2013) and World of Patterns: A Global History of Knowledge (2022).His latest book is Why Am I Here?A World History of the Meaning of Life (in Dutch, 2023).Nadia Bouras is a historian with a specialization in the history of Moroccan migration.Holding a PhD in history from Leiden University, she serves as an assistant professor in social and migration history at the same institution.Bouras is closely affiliated with NIMAR, the Netherlands Institute in Morocco, located in Rabat.Her research and teaching center on Moroccan history and the history of Moroccan migration.
