This study presents an innovative strategy for optimizing floor tile arrangements, addressing the high demand for tiles and the environmental challenges posed by the tile manufacturing process. By utilizing the nesting algorithm and multi-objective optimization with data from Building Information Modeling (BIM), this approach bridges the gap between efficient design and practical application. The proposed method allows for the optimization of floor tiling based on multiple objectives and construction drawings, offering a practical framework that reduces waste and environmental impact in tile manufacturing and installation. This solution has the potential to significantly decrease material waste, leading to both cost savings and environmental benefits.
