“Igrejas S/A”: o evangelicalismo não denominacional brasileiro como uma empresa religiosa neoliberal

Abstract
O presente trabalho procura defender a ideia de que as igrejas evangélicas não-denominacionais brasileiras se comportam como empresas neoliberais. No texto, o neoliberalismo é entendido a partir das reflexões de Dardot e Laval, como uma racionalidade que toma conta de todas as esferas da vida, portanto, também da esfera religiosa. A discussão é feita a partir de como o Estado foi transformado em um Estado empresarial, através de uma mudança conceitual das funções do Estado. E assim como o Estado foi transformado em um Estado empresarial, através de mudanças conceituais especialmente na linguagem, comparar-se-á o mesmo fenômeno nas igrejas, analisando as transformações na linguagem, estética e especialmente na arquitetura. Por fim, pretende discutir o que são igrejas evangélicas não-denominacionais, suas origens, como pensam e atuam, e por que consideram o capitalismo como a ordem natural da vida.
