Bornes royales et héritages culturels et environnementaux dans les forêts des Vosges saônoises: Communes de Haut-du-Them - Château-Lambert, Servance - Miellin et Ternuay-Melay-et-Saint-Hilaire
Bibliographic record
Abstract
The second year of prospecting in this sector of the Ballons des Vosges Saônoises made it possible to carry out a detailed inventory of the royal fleur-de-lis sandstone markers dating from the 18th century. This boundary demarcates the western part of a vast mountainous forest located in three municipalities: Belfahy, Servance-Miellin and Haut-de-Them-Château-Lambert. We used the land register to find the boundaries on the ground, already highlighted by Mr. Jean-Louis Bernard, volunteer prospector, and were thus able to rediscover more than fifty new boundaries still in place, by following the plot boundaries. All terminals were photographed, measured and geolocated. The RGE ALTI® MNT1 one-meter IGN LiDAR, which we used during our research, made it possible to discover and partly verify large areas of charcoal exploitation. More than 2,500 coal platforms have been identified with LiDAR, they are mainly located in the Ballons Comtois National Nature Reserve, where access is limited for a large part of the year. These charcoal pits certainly date from the 18th and 19th centuries, periods of operation of the glassworks and forges present in the region. More generally, many other remains were detected using the Vosges Saônoises LiDAR DEM: ruins of farms, summer pasture shelters, old road networks, high sites, old mine entrances , dumps, quarries, military remains, combat zones from 1914, etc. In 2022, we particularly carried out a search for old quarries, often known locally but not inventoried and not geolocated in the archaeological map of the Regional Archeology Service. Several balloon granite operations are present in the commune of Servance-Miellin. Dating from the beginning of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century, the rock was exploited for the market of funerary monuments, street furniture, buildings and large monuments. Other quarries exploited rocks for other, more prestigious markets. These rocks, mainly green porphyries or ancient green porphyries (Trachy-Labrador), very hard, were fashionable at the end of the 19th century, they were used to decorate numerous national or international monuments. Two granite factories were active in the upper Ognon valley: one in Servance since 1835 and the other, later, in Ternuay.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
