Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Once upon a time in ancient Greece, there was a clever man named Epimetheus. He had a sly neighbor who stole his prized rooster. Epimetheus, instead of confronting the thief directly, came up with a cunning plan. He invited the neighbor to a feast, and, as they ate, he casually mentioned that he had discovered a magical spring that turned anything it touched into gold. The neighbor, greedy as he was, begged to see it. Epimetheus agreed and led him to an old well, where he secretly threw in some gold coins. The neighbor, convinced of the well’s magic, hurriedly sold all his belongings and threw the money into the well. Epimetheus, having reclaimed his rooster and more, simply walked away, leaving the neighbor to wonder where his fortune had gone.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
