Marche consciente et bien-être mental : influence de l’interconnexion

Ce projet teste si la marche consciente avec le regard élevé (MC-SUP, n=10) affecte l’interconnexion, les activités mentales et le bien-être mental, comparativement à la MC avec le regard baissé (MC-INF, n=12) et mesure les associations entre ces variables, chez des étudiants universitaires. Les participants suivent un protocole de MC quotidienne de 30 minutes, durant trois semaines, selon une des deux directions de regard. Un test de Khi carré, deux ANOVA à mesures répétées et une corrélation de Spearman ont été effectués sur des données d’interconnexion et d’activités mentales récoltées dans un journal de bord et sur les résultats post-intervention à la version française de l’échelle Mental Health Continuum–Short Form mesurant le bien-être mental. Les résultats ne montrent aucune association entre la direction du regard et l’interconnexion X2(20, N = 22) = 19.983, p =.459 ou les activités mentales X2(16, N = 22) = 17.294, p =.367. Une différence significative est observée sur l’interconnexion F(1.87, 37.45) = 10.60, p < .001 et les activités mentales F(2, 40) = 12.216, p < .001 de semaine en semaine. Il existe une corrélation significative positive entre le bien-être mental et l’interconnexion (rhô = 0.464, p = 0.030). Il y aurait donc une progression des effets bénéfiques de la MC en cours d’intervention et un effet significatif du sentiment d’interconnexion, favorisé par la MC, sur le bien-être mental, indépendamment de la direction du regard. Cette étude offre des pistes sur les conditions facilitatrices du bien-être mental par une pratique journalière de MC. Une intervention accessible et pertinente dans un cadre préventif en santé mentale.
