Abstract
Dans cet article, les auteurs analysent les facteurs contribuant à l’écart urbain-rural de malnutrition infantile au Sénégal. Ils ont décomposé l’écart de malnutrition infantile entre ces milieux à un effet de composition et à un effet de structure. Ils ont appliqué des régressions quantiles inconditionnelles basées sur la fonction d’influence recentrée à l’Enquête Démographique et de Santé. Leurs résultats montrent que l’écart dû à l’effet de composition est expliqué par le revenu et l’éducation tandis que le revenu et l’accès à l’eau potable expliquent l’avantage structurel urbain. Ces résultats ont permis de suggérer des recommandations pour réduire ces disparités.
