Il faut louer Isabelle Antonutti d’avoir mené à bien le premier livre consacré aux femmes bibliothécaires en France. Si curieux que cela puisse paraître aux esprits féministes nombreux dans la profession, aucune histoire spécifique ne leur avait encore été consacrée. La première question serait de se demander pourquoi. Les femmes ont toujours été nombreuses dans les bibliothèques.
