Cet article vise à repenser la relation entre l’idée de réalisme et la réalité du voile obligatoire en Iran, à la lumière des manifestations consécutives à la mort de Mahsa Amini. Il part du principe qu’après l’avènement de Vida Movahed et surtout avec le mouvement « Femme, vie, liberté », cette relation est devenue plus conflictuelle que jamais. En offrant un bref aperçu de l’évolution de la représentation des femmes voilées dans les œuvres de deux grands cinéastes réalistes iraniens, Abbas Kiarostami et Kianoush Ayari, nous cherchons à démontrer comment un long parcours pour faire face à la censure trouve sa victoire dans les photos prises par les manifestants de la révolution de Mahsa Amini.
