Abstract
L'exemple de la uilla de Séviac, descobert per l'excavació completa de la seva part residencial, il·lustra, en divorci amb els testimonis de Sidoni Apol·linari, els avatars socioculturals de la fi de l'Antiguitat a Aquitània. Aquest establiment mostra una darrera prosperitat fins a mitjan segle V i, amb la ràpida decadència de l'elit tradicional i la desaparició de l'autoritat imperial, la caiguda, segurament completada a la fi del segle VI, d'un marc de vida fortament marcat per la influència cristiana.
