Abstract
Existing public and policy debates largely focus on transnational brides and their integration through an individual-centric perspective, often overlooking the critical role of family. Using the lens of social reproduction, this article foregrounds the importance of family while recognizing social and cultural capital in shaping the ways transnational brides navigate their lives in Canada. Drawing on in-depth virtual interviews (n = 15) with Muslim Pakistani transnational brides, this article examines how family dynamics operate both locally and transnationally, influencing their rights and agency not only within the familial sphere but also in the context of economic and social integration into the host society.
