Efeitos adversos no tratamento da hanseníase: uma revisão sistemática

Abstract
Introdução: A hanseníase é uma doença infecciosa crônica causada pelo Mycobacterium leprae, que afeta a pele, os nervos periféricos e outros órgãos. O diagnóstico clínico da doença é baseado em lesões cutâneas com perda sensorial e pode ser confirmado por testes histopatológicos e sorológicos. A transmissão ocorre principalmente pelo trato respiratório superior e os pacientes multibacilares são considerados a principal fonte de infecção. O tratamento da hanseníase é feito com poliquimioterapia (PQT), que consiste no uso de rifampicina, clofazimina e dapsona. A PQT tem sido eficaz na eliminação da bactéria, mas não reverte os danos nervosos. No entanto, a terapia pode causar efeitos colaterais, como anemia hemolítica, dermatite esfoliativa, reações de hipersensibilidade, descoloração da pele intolerância gastrointestinal e interações medicamentosas. A vigilância dos efeitos adversos é essencial para prevenir complicações e garantir a adesão ao tratamento. O abandono do tratamento é preocupante, pois pode levar à recidiva da doença, resistência aos medicamentos e complicações crônicas. Objetivo: Realizar revisão de estudos que demonstrem de maneira científica os efeitos adversos das drogas utilizadas no tratamento da hanseníase para auxiliar no progresso do tratamento melhorando a adesão ao mesmo. Metodologia: Essa revisão sistemática foi realizada obtendo os estudos randomizados que abordam o tratamento e seus efeitos colaterais em pacientes com hanseníase, das bases de dados da Embase, Cochrane Library, LILACs e PubMed e de acordo com os itens de relatório preferidos para Revisões Sistemáticas (PRISMA 2020).
