Abstract
Depuis 1970, en France, des centaines de projets d’aménagement écocidaires portés par l’État, des collectivités et/ou des acteurs privés ont été abandonnés suite à des mobilisations locales. L’objectif de cet article est de décrire la morphologie de ces victoires écologistes territorialisées. Pour cela une base de données des mobilisations considérées réussies par les militant·es écologistes a été constituée à partir de la presse, d’archives et d’entretien. Son analyse montre que la plupart des mobilisations remportées par les militant·es s’opposaient à de “petits projets inutiles” (plutôt qu’à de grandes infrastructures) et ont nécessité une grande diversité de tactiques, des plus légalistes au plus contestataires. L’histoire de ces victoires remet en cause l’idée d’un reflux des mobilisations écologistes dans les années 1990 et permet de comprendre leurs effets sur la structuration d’un mouvement social large. L’article s’interroge finalement sur la notion même de victoire, ses effets et le devenir des militant·es une fois la cause gagnée.
