Abstract
Ce numéro 97 s’organise autour d’un dossier thématique qui contribue à une approche globale du Canada et de la société canadienne à l’épreuve de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, dans l’événement comme dans sa postérité. Il s’intègre dans le cadre d’une double publication et vient compléter un numéro thématique du Bulletin d’histoire politique, prioritairement consacré à la guerre sur le sol canadien et dans les communautés du pays, qui sera publié à Montréal courant 2025. Ces deux dossiers sont coordonnés par Marc Bergère (Université Rennes 2) et Jonas Campion (Université du Québec à Trois Rivières). En effet, alors que l’on commémore les 80 ans de la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et 10 ans après le dernier projet collectif d’ampleur à ce sujet , il paraissait opportun de proposer une initiative éditoriale dont l’objectif est de mettre en lumière l’impact et le déroulement du conflit sur la société canadienne, en tenant compte des avancées et des débats historiographiques les plus récents.
