Abstract
In this study we compared the performance of in-band diode-pumped Nd:YVO<sub>4</sub> and Nd:GdVO<sub>4</sub> lasers. The lasers were analyzed for both their output powers and their thermal lens dioptric powers. Despite both lasers achieving >10W of average output power, the Nd:YVO<sub>4</sub> crystal exhibited stronger thermal lensing compared to the Nd:GdVO<sub>4</sub>, which was attributed to its lower thermal conductivity.
