Abstract
El presente artículo presenta la evolución de la Red Colombiana de Ingeniería y Desarrollo Social (ReCIDS) y su impacto a través de eventos como el IV Encuentro Colombiano de Ingeniería y Desarrollo Social (ECIDS), realizado en 2023 en la ciudad de Pereira. Esta red promueve una ingeniería no convencional, comprometida y socialmente consciente y organiza, desde el año 2018, encuentros y coloquios que fomentan el diálogo, la reflexión y la colaboración entre académicos, estudiantes y comunidades. ReCIDS como constructo social, ha permitido la socialización de las iniciativas y proyectos que integran la ingeniería al servicio de la transformación social donde se integra la teoría y la práctica de la ingeniería y este documento presenta conceptos emergentes y reflexiones críticas que, fundamentalmente, muestran la experiencia del IV ECIDS, destacado por la participación de actores con diferentes miradas, que revelaron nuevas prácticas para la transformación social y la crítica de la práctica ingenieril convencional, a partir de ponencias, diálogos con redes internacionales y la experiencia de líderes sociales y empresarios comprometidos.
