Abstract
Este cuento narra la historia de un ingeniero que, pese a su vasto conocimiento y habilidades en múltiples campos, se siente perdido al darse cuenta de que sus creaciones contribuyen a la destrucción de la naturaleza y a la desigualdad social. Un encuentro con una jaguar en un río le hace reflexionar sobre la posibilidad de una ingeniería diferente, una que no busca dominar la naturaleza sino dialogar con ella y cuidarla. La jaguar le aconseja desaprender y aprender de las comunidades que viven en armonía con la tierra. El ingeniero decide cambiar su enfoque, pasando de ser un constructor de infraestructuras a un cuidador de la vida, buscando equilibrio entre la tecnología y la naturaleza. El relato concluye con moralejas sobre la importancia de cuestionar quiénes se benefician de nuestras creaciones, colaborar con la naturaleza, y construir soluciones desde la comunidad.
