Mosaic has agreed to sell a phosphate mine in Patos de Minas, Brazil, to Fosfatados Centro for $125 million. Mosaic says the sale is part of a plan to divest noncore assets. Heraeus Precious Metals has acquired Umicore’s platinum active pharmaceutical ingredient business outside South America. The purchase will help Heraeus ramp up production of platinum-based cancer drugs.
