Abstract

Les études des quarante dernières années ont souligné à maintes reprises la contribution cruciale du partenariat famille-école-communauté à la réussite scolaire et éducative des enfants notamment ceux ayant des besoins éducatifs particuliers et la mise en place d’environnements éducatifs plus inclusifs. Pour favoriser ce partenariat, nous avons choisi l’avenue d’une Recherche-action participative (RAP) ancrée dans le paradigme des recherches transformatives (Anderson et McLachlan, 2016) et de la justice sociale afin de favoriser une mobilisation réelle des connaissances par les familles et les professionnels (O’Donnell, 2008). À la demande des familles, cette recherche a eu lieu dans trois écoles de Montréal (Canada), qui accueillent 184 élèves entre 12 et 21 ans présentant des déficiences développementales. Elle visait à comprendre comment transformer les pratiques actuelles pour la mise en place d’activités soutenant le partenariat famille-école communauté. Dans cet article, nous présenterons et discuterons les enjeux méthodologiques et éthiques lorsqu’il s’agit de faire ensemble pour transformer ainsi que leurs limites.
