Abstract
Extract Our 5-year mission continues to bring the best science and clinical education to the widest possible audience through the flagship journal of the European Respiratory Society (ERS), the European Respiratory Journal (ERJ). Following on from last year's “your journal, my journal, our journal” [1, 2], we decided to theme this year's offering by borrowing one of the most famous quotes from one of the most highly regarded of the US presidents: “ask not what your journal can do for you, ask what you can do for your journal” (…or maybe ask both?).
