Abstract
El nombre de Walt Disney es sinónimo de animación. En este artículo, utilizando una metodología cualitativa, se analizará al hombre, los orígenes y primeros pasos en el mundo de la animación, desgranando el origen de su gran primera estrella animada Mickey Mouse y su filmografía hasta 1933. Es en el periodo de su infancia y adolescencia cuando el joven Disney recibirá la influencia que marcará su obra a posteriori: la religiosidad cristiana recibida por su padre, hombre rígido que imprimió en el joven autor valores que aún hoy en día se encuentran presentes en las producciones de la factoría norteamericana. El sentido del espectáculo que recibió de sus frecuentes representaciones teatrales en la casa de su amigo íntimo Walter Pfeiser o su impresión de las obras cinematográficas que visionó como adolescente, así como su gran pasión por el cómic y el dibujo marcaron sus primeros años de vida, creando la base de su obra y la de su compañía.
