Bibliographic record
Abstract
A consequence of growing recognition of the high effectiveness of hypnosis for the prevention and correction of psychological causes of behavioral and mental disorders is an increase in the number of specialists using hypnosis and psychotechnics based on it as the main tool of their professional activity. Due to the different understanding of psychotherapy, of which hypnotherapy is a part. abroad, such specialists are traditionally called hypnotherapists, and in Russia - hypnologists. Currently, the activity of hypnotherapists abroad has all the main features of the profession and is recognized as such in a number of countries, in particular in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, New Zealand. The overwhelming majority of hypnotherapists abroad are private practitioners, i.e. refers to representatives of the so-called "free" professions, whose activities, in accordance with established practice, are regulated primarily at the level of professional associations. To guarantee the competence of their members, such professional associations establish the requirements for having a certain basic education (usually psychological or medical); adopt ethical codes that establish standards of practice; determine the qualification requirements and the procedure for its recognition (certification) in specific areas of specialization; monitor the professional activities of members and encourage a continuous increase in their qualifications; carry out the analysis of incidents (claims of patients, etc.); they accredit educational programs in the field of hypnosis. In a number of countries, the activities of specialists in the field of hypnosis are subject to additional state regulation at the national level (Germany, Israel, South African Republic) or regional (US, Canada) levels. In the case of state regulation, the requirements tend to be reduced to the availability of basic education (usually psychological or medical) and the need to confirm their qualification in licensing. At present, the market of hypnologists' services is developing spontaneously in Russia: there are no requirements for education, observance of professional and ethical standards of activity, continuous improvement of skills, depth of specialization, level of applied technologies. All this leads to the emergence of potential risks for clients of a growing number of domestic "hypnologists", "regressologists", "hypnotherapists" "suggestologists", "hypnotherapists", leads to devaluation of the prestige of hypnology as a profession. To ensure the quality of training of domestic specialists in the field of hypnosis and the possibility of an objective and independent evaluation of their qualifications, it is necessary to develop a professional standard for this type of professional activity.
