Abstract
The modern world is characterized by increasing global interdependence and aggravation of geopolitical contradictions. One of the most striking examples of such confrontation is the rivalry between the United States and China, which forces states to reconsider their foreign policy strategies, which, in turn, affects domestic political processes. Canada, as a key partner of the United States and an important trading partner of China, finds itself at the epicentre of these geopolitical transformations. Its position in international relations is determined by many factors, including domestic political dynamics, which are becoming increasingly complex and multifaceted. The evolution of the political parties’ positions reflects not only the dynamics of bilateral relations, but also domestic political processes in Canada, as well as global trends in the country's domestic policy. In the context of uncertainty and growing tensions in international relations, understanding how the positions of Canadian parties towards China have changed and continue to change is becoming increasingly relevant for analyzing Canada's foreign policy and its future place in the global system.
