Abstract
The article examines main trends characterizing trade relations between Canada and India. The research covers dynamics of bilateral trade, trade structure, trade negotiations between the two countries, and infrastructure of the Canadian-Indian dialogue in the field of trade and economic relations. It is concluded that in recent years, the supply of high-value-added products from India to Canada has been growing rapidly. For Canada, the structure of its bilateral trade with India is deteriorating. The main volume of Canadian exports to India is accounted for by agricultural and raw materials such as coal, vegetables, and mineral fertilizers. Canadian imports from India are dominated by mechanical engineering, electrical, pharmaceutical and light industry products. The most important items of Indian exports to Canada are medicines, telephone communication equipment, components for the automotive industry, and jewelry. At the same time, the current political crisis in Canada-India relations has not yet had a negative impact on bilateral trade and has not led to the introduction of bilateral trade restrictions.
