Abstract
Des tensions entre les perspectives poétiques et techniques du mime corporel d’Étienne Decroux et les dimensions socioculturelles dans le contexte de la culture brésilienne contemporaine, notamment dans la ville de Salvador de Bahia, au nord-est du Brésil sont au cœur de cet article. Le tableau Abaporu de l’artiste Tarsila do Amaral, une œuvre emblématique du modernisme brésilien, est empruntée comme guide pour proposer une attitude anthropophagique comme stratégie de réappropriation envers le mime corporel par la méthodologie de création intitulée la rêverie du corps. Des exemples artistiques sont pris en tant qu’arguments scéniques-performatifs dans la quête d’un processus de décolonisation du mime corporel.
