Abstract
Zwei Millionen Kinder in Deutschland leben derzeit laut Schätzungen mit einem Bruder oder einer Schwester mit einer Behinderung oder einer schweren chronischen Erkrankung. Das Gleichgewicht der Geschwister gerät in solchen Familien manchmal aus den Fugen - das kranke oder behinderte Kind steht im Fokus der Eltern, die Geschwister stehen im Schatten der Situation. Nach vorliegenden empirischen Untersuchungen zeigen etwa ein Drittel der Geschwisterkinder Belastungssymptome oder sogar deutliche Anpassungsprobleme an die psychosozialen Herausforderungen und Belastungen der besonderen Familiensituation. FRAME - das Konzept des hier vorliegenden Arbeitsmaterials - bietet den Kindern eine präventive »Selbsthilfegruppe«, in der ressourcenorientiert Resilienz, Selbstwertgefühl, das Gefühl der Selbstwirksamkeit und das Gemeinschaftsgefühl gestärkt und das Wissen über die Behinderungen und Erkrankungen der Geschwister erweitert werden soll
