Abstract
Das Thema »Haftung« ist in den letzten Jahren verstärkt ins öffentliche Bewusstsein gerückt und spielt in immer mehr Lebensbereichen eine große Rolle. Gerade auch Mitarbeiter*innen aus den sozialen, pflegenden und betreuenden Berufen spüren zunehmend Unsicherheit in Bezug auf die Frage, wie weit ihre Pflichten gehen und wann sie für einen entstehenden Schaden eintreten müssen. Diese Broschüre gibt einen Überblick über die bestehende Rechtslage, um mehr Handlungssicherheit beim Umgang bzw. der Arbeit mit Menschen mit Behinderung zu schaffen. Dabei liegt der Schwerpunkt auf der zivilrechtlichen Haftung als für die Praxis relevantester Bereich. Allerdings gibt es keine allgemein gültigen Handlungsanweisungen, denn Haftung ist immer eine Frage des Einzelfalls. Es kommt stets auf die konkreten Umstände und Gegebenheiten an.
