Spin-orbit control of antiferromagnetic domains without a Zeeman coupling
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Encoding information in antiferromagnetic (AFM) domains is a promising solution for the ever growing demand in magnetic storage capacity. The absence of a macroscopic magnetization avoids crosstalk between different domain states, enabling ultrahigh density spintronics 1 while being detrimental to the domain detection and manipulation. Disentangling these merits and disadvantages seemed so far unattainable. We report evidence for a new AFM domain selection mechanism based on non-Zeeman susceptibility anisotropy induced by the relative orientation of external magnetic fields to the k-domains. Consequently, the charge transport response is controlled by the rotation of the magnetic field and a pronounced anisotropic magnetoresistance is found in the AFM phase of bulk materials Nd 1− x Ce x CoIn 5 . Our results and the domain switching theory 2 indicate that this constitutes a new effect which might be universal across multiband materials. It provides a novel mechanism to control and detect AFM domains opening new perspectives for AFM sprintronics.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
