UMA BREVE INVESTIGAÇÃO DO JUSTO MEIO ENQUANTO PROPRIEDADE DA VIRTUDE MORAL SEGUNDO TOMÁS DE AQUINO

Abstract
Neste breve artigo, procuramos explicitar a riqueza presente na reflexão teórica do conceito justo meio enquanto propriedade da virtude moral em Tomás de Aquino. Tendo em vista o nosso objetivo, na primeira seção de nosso artigo, a qual consideramos como introdutória, delimitamos o significado da palavra “propriedade”. Nós a abordamos sob a perspectiva porfiriana, a qual se fez presente na reflexão medieval por meio da obra Isagoge. Em seguida, na segunda seção, destacamos a quarta propriedade da virtude enumerada por Tomás de Aquino em sua Suma de Teologia: o justo meio. Na terceira seção, nós propomos uma breve análise sobre a influência aristotélica na formulação do conceito de justo meio na obra tomasiana. Nos dois capítulos subsequentes, demonstramos uma diversidade de interpretação de autores contemporâneos sobre o conceito de justo meio aristotélico e, em paralelo, apresentamos como Tomás de Aquino o interpretou. Por fim, concluímos sublinhando algumas nuanças e destacando alguns aspectos particulares a esse conceito.
