Abstract
Chat interviews as a form of online real-time communication are popular among Canadian Francophones. This speech genre has a strategy of its own – exchange of opinions, emotional assessment of events and people. Analyzing the content of sportsmen and sports fans’ utterances helps to elucidate dominating values for this social group.
