Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The chapter begins with a summary of school–family–community partnerships' legal and political anchorage in Québec, Canada. Next, the chapter reviews Epstein's six types of collaborative activities that can have an impact on students, parents, teachers, and school climate. The strengths and limits of the typology are presented. Special attention is paid to school–community connections that are likely to help improve schools, strengthen families, and help students to better learn. Then, challenges linked to the implementation and evaluation of SFC partnership programs are highlighted. Obviously, legislation and policies, although essential, are not enough. More human resources are needed to ensure continuity over time. However, ambivalence is revealed with respect to a too large number of structures. Finally, similarities are put into evidence between one Québec SFC partnership initiative and one Irish research project, both focusing on Epstein's model and typology.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
