Ketahanan pangan merupakan isu krusial bagi daerah perkotaan yang mengalami urbanisasi pesat, seperti Surakarta di Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini menyelidiki kondisi ketahanan pangan di Surakarta dan implikasinya terhadap keberlanjutan dan ketahanan kota. Menggunakan metode studi pustaka, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi berbagai aspek ketahanan pangan, termasuk ketersediaan pangan, akses, pemanfaatan, dan kestabilan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa urbanisasi di Surakarta telah meningkatkan permintaan pangan, mengubah rantai pasokan pangan, dan menghadapi tantangan terkait distribusi dan keterjangkauan pangan. Faktor-faktor utama yang mempengaruhi ketahanan pangan di Surakarta meliputi perubahan penggunaan lahan perkotaan, ketimpangan ekonomi, dan efektivitas kebijakan serta program pangan yang ada. Penelitian ini menekankan perlunya pendekatan terintegrasi untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan, seperti memperbaiki pertanian perkotaan, memperkuat sistem pangan lokal, dan memastikan koordinasi yang lebih baik di antara para pemangku kepentingan. Dengan mengatasi area-area tersebut, Surakarta dapat meningkatkan ketahanan pangannya dan mendukung populasi yang berkembang lebih efektif.
