Abstract
Dans sa dernière pièce, Up There (2022), le dramaturge syrien Wael Kadour s’interroge sur ce qui aurait pu se produire dans sa vie artistique, mais qui n’a pourtant pas eu lieu. Kadour élabore ainsi une conscience individuelle et subjective du non-passé, une temporalité négative qui se développe tout au long du processus de création de la pièce, depuis son idéation au cours de la crise sanitaire de 2020 jusqu’à sa première en décembre 2022. Cette prise de conscience émane d’un retour dans le temps, entre 1991 et 2022, accompagné du regard d’Henrik Ibsen sur la société.
