Leadership and Equity in Multicultural Education: A Case Study at Taiwan University
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Equity has become a central principle in educational policy and leadership worldwide. However, a wide range of interpretations of equity and what it means in education exist. This study explores the relationship between educational leadership and equity within a diverse student cohort comprising individuals from various cultural backgrounds and nationalities. Students from Canada, Vietnam, Mainland China, and Taiwan converge in a research institute classroom setting, fostering a rich tapestry of perspectives. The central research question investigates how educational leadership influences equity, particularly in fostering inclusive environments for students from diverse backgrounds. Through an in-depth interview with Professor Yi Qiu from the Chinese Culture University in Taiwan, this study examines how educational leadership can promote equity in a multicultural setting. The findings suggest a positive correlation between leadership practices and educational equity, emphasizing the significance of inclusive leadership in providing equal educational opportunities and resources to students from various cultures and social backgrounds.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
