Abstract
Cette recherche a pour objectif de comparer le choix et la façon qu’ont de jeunes adultes non diplômés du secondaire du Québec de rechercher de l’information sur l’emploi auprès de sources informationnelles humaines selon leur genre d’appartenance. Cette analyse secondaire consiste en l’analyse thématique des données de 24 entretiens individuels semi‑dirigés. Les résultats documentent un recours différencié des sources informationnelles selon le genre en ce qui a trait à l’approche préconisée, l’importance accordée au lien de confiance et à la pérennité de la relation. Alors que la plupart des études sur le sujet s’intéressent essentiellement à de jeunes adultes scolarisés, cet article est le premier à documenter explicitement les différences de genre dans les pratiques informationnelles sur l’emploi chez de jeunes adultes non scolarisés au Québec.
