Furthermore, this displacement was not linked to any changes in somatosensory function.In summary, the study found no somatosensory impairment after surgery in ET patients with radiofrequency ablation of the Vim nucleus.Discussion: This suggests that thermal coagulation or edema in the Vim nucleus may not always cause significant somatosensory deficits.Additionally, the study also indicated that COP displacement to the treated side was not associated with any changes in somatosensory, highlighting the potential of somatosensory input as a rehabilitation strategy for improving postural control.
