Cog score changes from post-treatment to the approximately 2-month follow-up.A significant difference (p0.049) was found between the groups.This implies real tACS, unlike sham, may extend the positive cognitive effects of the treatment.The real tACS group showed an average improvement of 1.67 points in ADAS-Cog scores from post-treatment to follow-up, compared to the average decline of 1.72 points in the sham group.These findings suggest real tACS, when combined with cognitive exercise, may improve cognitive function in individuals with dementia immediately and with longer-lasting effects.Further research is needed to explore the optimal parameters of electrical stimulation.
