Abstract
Michel Feugain est poète, traducteur, éditeur et universitaire français d’origine camerounaise. Il écrit à travers sa poésie-satire la chronique chaotique de sa patrie en léthargie, plongée dans une ère d’incertitude. Thrènes de l’entre-deux, comme ses précédents livres, est un tableau sombre et choquant de la déchéance politique, sociale et morale du pays natal de Feugain. Il y fait le procès de l’État depuis son indépendance en le considérant comme principal responsable des malheurs de ses concitoyens. Le poète se veut ainsi le témoin, la voix des sans voix et le visage des invisibles, des victimes vivantes ou mortes, oubliées ou dans l’ombre. Cet entretien, à l’image du recueil très caustique, constitue un si « long et grand cri » d’un poète révolté, pugnace et optimiste pour qui « la pensée littéraire est un chemin qui éclaire la conscience du politique ».
