Abstract
Peter Archambault, un artiste franco-américain, s’est impliqué dans le Centre franco-américain de l’Université du Maine pendant les années soixante-dix et quatre-vingt. Fondé en 1972, le Centre avait pour objectif de représenter les communautés franco-américaines, notamment en publiant un mensuel, Le F.A.R.O.G. Forum (Franco-American Resource Opportunity Group). Archambault a travaillé comme dessinateur au F.A.R.O.G. Forum pendant une dizaine d’années, ses dessins constituent un corpus varié et complexe. On y trouve notamment « Beau-frog », une grenouille qui se fait porte-parole de la communauté franco-américaine. Cet article s’appuie sur les dessins de Peter Archambault pour offrir un instantané de la communauté franco-américaine à l’époque peu étudiée des années 1980.
