Abstract
Depuis 2006 le Parti conservateur du Canada a formé des gouvernements à Ottawa, mais il a mis de l’avant des mesures apparemment contradictoires à l’égard du Québec. Ce livre vise à expliquer ce comportement, en faisant le rapport entre les actions du gouvernement Harper en matière fédérale et les principes conservateurs qui animent son parti. En comprenant de manière approfondie l’idéologie conservatrice et ses origines, on peut expliquer le comportement apparemment louvoyant et contradictoire de ce parti concernant le fédéralisme en général et le Québec en particulier. Avec la participation de douze experts en la matière de diverses régions du Canada, ce livre, au-delà de l’intérêt purement intellectuel, explore aussi des avenues de solutions, voire des moyens de dresser des ponts entre le Québec et les conservateurs fédéraux qui soient en même temps respectueux des parties en dialogue.
