Abstract
In this article, the author shares her journey from the childhood dream to become an orthodontist to life as a young professional while raising children and establishing an orthodontic practice. As an early adopter of technology, this clinician starts learning to move teeth with aligners, and subsequently becomes a key opinion leader in aligner orthodontics and then writing a definitive text on clear aligner technique. The various seasons in one's life journey is discussed first as a daughter, a mother, then an orthodontist, educator, international speaker and author. Along the way, insights are shared that hope to inspire others on their professional and personal life journey. The author discusses the evolving role of women in orthodontics and the importance of creating opportunities for future generations of female orthodontists. The author's journey from student to pioneer in her field sets the tone for a narrative about professional innovation and personal triumph.
