Control of Active and Reactive Power for a Single-Phase Grid-Connected Photovoltaic system Using Integral Sliding Mode Control with a Fixed Switching Frequency

Abstract
This paper introduces a novel approach for controlling the active and reactive power output photovoltaic single-stage Single-Phase Grid-Connected with LCL filter. The proposed method regulates power through the injection of current utilizing a nonlinear integral sliding mode control (ISMC) with a constant switching frequency which significantly reduces current tracking error and achieves a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) in the vicinity of 1,4%. The performance of the proposed method is tested against tracking of maximum PV power and regulate the power reactive injected into or absorbed from the grid via a simulation in MATLAB/Simulink.
