Comparación de la calidad de cicatrización de quemaduras de segundo grado profundo con nanocelulosa EPICITE vs. Curación convencional en la ciudad de Puno 2022

Abstract
Las quemaduras de segundo grado profundo causan lesiones severas en la piel, aumentando el riesgo de infección y cicatrices deformantes comprometiendo los estratos epidérmicos, llegando hasta a dermis reticular y deben ser tratadas adecuadamente con un tratamiento oportuno y apropiado. Objetivo: Evaluar la calidad de cicatrización por quemaduras de segundo grado profundo de los tejidos resultantes entre la técnica nanocelulosa EPICITE en comparación con la cura convencional. Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio comparativo de intervención, analítico, prospectivo y longitudinal, con una muestra de 28 pacientes. Se desarrolló en una clínica de la ciudad de Puno, Perú, participaron una muestra total de todo el universo correspondiente de pacientes atendidos en ambos sexos 28 pacientes de ambos sexos entre los 10 y 70 años. De los cuales el 50% recibió tratamiento con curaciones convencionales, mientras que el otro 50 % fue tratado con el sustituto dérmico temporal de nanocelulosa EPICITE. Resultados mostraron que los pacientes tratados con EPICITE dentro de las primeras 24 horas, la cicatrización presentó mejoras significativas a los tres y seis meses posteriores a la lesión. La evaluación se realizó mediante la escala de valoración cicatrizal de Vancouver, que analiza parámetros como pigmentación, vascularización, flexibilidad y altura de la cicatriz. Se evidenciaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas (p<0.05) a favor del uso de nanocelulosa en el proceso de cicatrización. Conclusiones: el uso del sustituto dérmico de nanocelulosa EPICITE demostró ser una alternativa eficaz para el tratamiento de quemaduras de segundo grado profundo.
