Le slogan <i>Right fiers</i> : polémique sur le mélange des langues en Acadie

Abstract
L’objectif de cet article est d’illustrer comment le débat médiatique sur le slogan Right fiers, choisi pour les Jeux de la francophonie canadienne de 2017 à Moncton-Dieppe, a été polémique et, plus précisément, dichotomique (Amossy, 2014). En effectuant une analyse de discours thématique et argumentative, nous relevons des opinions fondamentalement opposées au sujet du slogan dans les médias traditionnels et sociaux. L’intrusion de l’anglais dans la langue française ne fait pas l’unanimité. Les analyses révèlent également des désaccords en ce qui concerne la composition de la francophonie acadienne et canadienne. En effet, qui peut en faire partie et quelles sont les pratiques langagières qui y sont admises et reconnues ? Malgré son caractère dichotomique, la polémique sur le slogan Right fiers laisse transparaître une évolution dans les idéologies linguistiques, puisque l’on note qu’une plus grande place est accordée à la perception positive à l’égard du mélange des langues dans les discours.
